While their family ministry and musical heritage spans over 30 years, it wasn’t until 1992 that the Keffers were introduced to Southern Gospel radio and fans alike with their national debut. And in the years since, they’ve continued to garner much attention with their unique blend of family harmony with a youthful approach. In the past 30 years of their full time traveling ministry, the Keffers have enjoyed a wide variety of ministry opportunities. Whether it’s in a revival meeting, a family life conference, a youth camp, or a concert, one thing is certain, the name of Jesus will be exalted and and the gospel will be clearly presented.
Most of the The Keffers music is original written by daughter Amy Keffer Shellem. In addition to her music being primarily what the family performs, multiple other artists have recorded her material as well. As a result of this, she has seen three of her songs nominated for Dove Awards and in 2010 her song “When God Has Another Plan” was named “Song of the Year” in Southern Gospel music by the Singing News magazine. In addition to this success, The Keffers are seen regularly on Gospel Music Television. They have released 20 different recordings and are currently enjoying the success of their current album project, “Proclaim The Cross”.
Amidst the hectic 200 date touring schedule the Keffers encounter each year, they are a devoted family who also enjoy spending time with family and friends at home in Nashville, GA. Gary and wife, Linda have enjoyed 46 years of marriage and are thankful for their two married children, Amy and Paul. They are also enjoying the blessing of being grandparents seven times over now. The love and devotion to their Lord and ministry are what sustain the growth and strength of this family.
